2010 yılından bu yana birçok yerli ve yabancı projede dansçı, oyuncu, koreograf olarak yer almaya devam eden sanatçı Ceyda Özcan, koreografisini Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesinde ve farklı dönemlerde Koç Üniversitesi’nde ders veren Doçent İlkay Türkoğlu’nun üstlendiği “Bedenin Belleği” isimli performansıyla 6. Solo Dans Festivali’ne geliyor. “Bedenin Belleği”, yaratıcılarının dans tarihlerine; dansçı ve koreograf kimlikleri ile edindikleri deneyimlerin bedenlerinde bıraktığı izlere bir dans yaratım sürecinde ulaşmayı hedefler. Bedenin hafızasından daha önce sahnelenmiş anlar, sahnelenmeden kenara konmuş malzemeler solistin dans partnerleri olan vitrin mankenleri aracılığı ile yeni imgelere dönüşerek tekrar canlanır. İmgelerin bugünkü karşılıklarına ulaşmaya çalışma ve onları tekrar değerlendirme halini paylaşmak da performansın önemli bir parçasını oluşturur. *Festival, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı tarafından desteklenmektedir. Ceyda Özcan, who has been taking part as a dancer, actress and choreographer in many domestic and foreign projects since 2010, is coming to the 6th Solo Dance Festival with her performance titled “Memory of the Body”, which is choreographed by Associate Professor İlkay Türkoğlu, who has been teaching at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Koç University since 2010. “Body Memory” aims to reach the dance history of its creators and the traces left on their bodies by the experiences they have gained with their dancer and choreographer identities through a dance creation process. The previously staged moments from the body's memory, are revived with the materials put aside without being staged by transforming into new images through the mannequins, which are the dance partners of the soloist. Sharing the state of trying to reach recent equivalents of images and re-evaluating them is also an important part of the performance. *Festival is supported by the Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
