Geçtiğimiz sene İstanbul’daki Fringe Festival’de “Bir Kurbağa ile Sohbet” performansıyla sahne almış olan İtalyan sanatçı Sofia Casprini, aynı eseri Ankara seyircisiyle paylaşmaya geliyor. Kurbağa, kendini sürekli olarak yenileme kabiliyeti olan bir hayvan olarak karşımıza çıkar. Metamorfozu, hayatı boyunca farklı formlara bürünen kurbağadan daha iyi ne sembolize edebilir? Performansçı vücudunu şekillendirerek kesintisiz bir imge ve duygu akışına girer, böylelikle bu dönüşüm sürecinin içinde kaybolmuş seyirciyi şaşırtır ve provoke eder. Italian artist Sofia Casprini, who took the stage with the performance of "Conversation with a Frog" at the Fringe Festival in Istanbul last year, is coming to share the same piece with the Ankara audience. The frog appears as an animal that has the ability to constantly regenerate itself. What better symbolizes metamorphosis than the frog that takes on many transitions throughout its life? By shaping her body, the performer enters a continuous flow of images and emotions, thus disorienting and provoking the audience lost in this transformation process. By conveying an experience that either come from the animal world or originate from the idea of a stereotypical society in the ways she enters, she presents a hybrid creature that vascillates between two levels. *The performance is organized in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ankara. *Festival is supported by the Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Atölye, dinamik zemin tekniği ve doğaçlama ilkelerini temel alarak dans tekniklerinin bir kısmını keşfetmeyi hedeflemektedir. Katılımcılar ses ve görüntü yardımıyla hem zihinsel hem de fiziksel olarak aktif bir şekilde vücutlarındaki değişimi gözlemleyeceklerdir. Bu çalışma hem bedeni ısıtacak hem de hareket kalitesini arttıracaktır. Dinamik zemin çalışmasında ise katılımcılar dans tekniğinin ilkelerini keşfedecek, dinamizm, fonksiyonellik ve hız temelinde zemin ve beden arasındaki ilişkiyi çalışacaklar. Participants will actively observe the change in their bodies both mentally and physically with the help of sound and image. This exercise will both warm the body and increase the quality of movement. In the dynamic floor study, the participants will discover the principles of dance technique and will study the relationship between the floor and the body on the basis of dynamism, functionality and speed. Participants will be encouraged to take risks, push their own limits and test themselves. *The workshop is taking place in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Ankara. @italyinturkey *You can participate in the workshop by purchasing a daily or combined festival ticket. * Quota is limited.
